I’ve started to notice something about my guests…

I’ve started to notice something about my guests…

Some arrive with a list of places they want to visit, walks they want to do and restaurants they want to try.

And then there are the ones who arrive at Bailey Huts and apparently decide they’re not leaving 😂

They order food.

They use the honesty shop.

They light the fire.

They get in the hot tub.

They have another drink.

And before they know it, two nights have passed.

I actually I think that says something….

Because when I created Bailey Huts, I wanted it to be somewhere you could enjoy the Ribble Valley if you wanted to…

but you could also stay right here and feel like you’d had a proper getaway.

You don’t have to fill your days.

You don’t have to find somewhere to go for dinner.

You don’t even have to get dressed if you don’t want to.

You can simply arrive, close the gate and make yourselves at home.

Luxury has never meant having more for me…

It’s the feeling of arriving somewhere and knowing you don’t have to do anything.

No itinerary.
No rushing from one thing to the next.
No reason to leave your very own space.

Just a beautiful private hut, your own private space, a wood-fired hot tub, a sauna, a cold plunge, a fire, good food and the countryside around you.

And then there are the little things I add because they matter to me. The homemade treats, the welcome pack, the fresh flowers, the things I’ve made myself.

Because I think luxury is personal.

Sometimes you just have to do it anyway. There ar

Sometimes you just have to do it anyway.

There are days when I don’t feel like creating another post.

Days when I question whether anyone is actually interested in what I’m doing.

Days when there are a hundred other things that feel more important than creating content, sending an email, working on an idea or putting myself out there.

And honestly? I think that’s completely normal when you’re running your own business.

It’s very easy to wait until you feel motivated.
Until you feel confident.
Until you have more time.
Until everything feels perfectly planned.

But if I waited for all of that, there are so many things I’d never do.

Building Bailey Huts has taught me that sometimes you just have to feel the doubt, the nerves or the lack of motivation… and do it anyway.

Put the post out.
Try the idea.
Send the email.
Take the photograph.
Make the change.

Because you never really know what might come from taking that one small step.

And the more you do it, the easier it becomes.

Not because you suddenly stop doubting yourself, but because you start proving to yourself that you CAN do the things that once felt uncomfortable.

You don’t have to wait for somebody else to be free or find someone who wants to come with you. Sometimes you just need to take yourself off for a few days because that’s what you feel like you need. And why not? You deserve it.

Come here, have the Hut and the space around it completely to yourself, enjoy the hot tub, sauna, countryside, a good book, a walk, or simply do whatever you fancy.

One of my recent guests said she felt “totally safe and relaxed” and loved that the space was enclosed and private.

At the beginning of the summer I set myself a goal…. to make Bailey Huts the very best experience I could, and to keep creating little things that make a stay here feel really special, to ALL my guests 🤗

Looking back, I think I’ve done just that.

There have been so many lovely couples through the door, special occasions celebrated, new ideas brought to life, plenty of hard work behind the scenes and lots of moments that have made me stop and think, I really do love what I’ve created here.

And there’s been SO much that I haven’t even managed to share ,
from my new homemade continental breakfast and Italian pizza evenings, to new goodies in the honesty shop and all the little additions and ideas that have evolved along the way.

So, this is my little summer round-up. A few of the highlights, the reality behind the scenes and everything in between.

And now it’s time to see what the next season brings…
